About Cheers!
Cheers! Events is something that's been dreamt about since 2016. As two students in the Event Management program at Iowa State, Nicole and Jess met in a wedding planning and management class. After quickly becoming good friends, the thought of planning their own events always remained in the back of their minds.

Fast forward to 2020 and that thought became a reality! We can't wait to meet you and make your event dreams come to life!

About Jessica
Hi! My name is Jess and I am half the duo behind Cheers! Events. I graduated from Iowa State University in May of 2018 with my degree in Event Management, and I loved ISU so much that I decided not to leave! I currently work full-time as a wedding and event planner for the Iowa State University Memorial Union. Iowa State holds a special place in my heart, as it was the place where I fell in love with wedding & event planning. First looks under the campanile bells give me chills every time. Nothing brings me greater joy than being a small part of my couples' special day and making sure that they fully enjoy each moment. I love creating a lasting relationship with each of my couples - plan to be friends for life after working with me!

My event planning experience focuses primarily on weddings and special events, however, I have experience in corporate, non-profit and the university sector. When I'm not daydreaming about planning the perfect event, you can find me on the boat with my family, drinking margaritas with my vendor besties, or binge watching Schitt's Creek for the millionth time
About Nicole
Hi everyone, I'm Nicole! I graduated from Iowa State University (go Cyclones!) in May of 2019 with a major in Event Management and a minor in Public Relations. Currently, I am working full-time as a client service associate at a financial firm. I've lived in the Des Moines area my whole life and could not imagine living anywhere else - this city has my heart. I love meeting and making connections with the wonderful people of Des Moines and of course that means working with them to create a memorable event!

I have experience in many different areas of the event industry! Everything from weddings and corporate, to non-profit and higher education. When I'm not dreaming of planning the perfect event, you can find me hanging out with my family, friends or boyfriend, cheering on Iowa State and the Dallas Cowboys, trying new recipes, or watching reruns of King of Queens
